How waste and boxes work
You never buy just the net room area. A waste factor (typically 8–10%) accounts for cuts, errors and pattern waste. We round up to whole boxes.
Buying too little means running out mid-install. Buying too much is wasteful. 10% is a safe default for most rooms; diagonal or complex layouts may need more.
